After qualifying as a Clinical Psychologist from the Oxford Doctoral course I initially spent a year working in Egypt with both children and adults. Since then I have had more than ten years experience in the NHS, working specifically with children and adolescents. Over that time I have worked with young people and their families with a wide range of issues from diagnosis to therapeutic input to overcome those difficulties.
We aim to work with families to provide a clear understanding of the difficulties being experienced and a plan of how to overcome them. We use a wide range of therapeutic methods so are able to choose the approach that is best for your family. As well as individual work for young people we can also offer specialised parenting support. We are based in North Oxfordshire but are happy to travel throughout Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas (e.g. Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire) and can often arrange to see a young person in their home or school in order to minimise the disruption of appointments.
You are welcome to contact us to discuss your needs and whether we are able to help without any obligation to book an appointment. It is possible to book a one-off consultation appointment if this would be of more use to you. In some cases we may suggest other organisations or professionals who may be of help to you.
We are committed to keeping your information safe and secure. Please read our privacy notice to find out more.
Interventions offered are likely to be based upon Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Attachment Therapy or draw upon other well recognised and evidenced theories. It is possible to access OCP's services through some private health insurance policies.
We both attend regular clinical supervision sessions in order to maintain the quality of the therapy offered and keep up to date with advances in clinical psychology by attending relevant Continued Professional Development Events.
