Dr Jacinta Cordwell
Jacinta has a range of clinical experiences from her time working in the NHS within hospital settings where she has undertaken paediatric work with young people, assessment work with children and has also worked with babies with high needs and their parents who are coping with traumatic events. She currently has a strategic role at a national level aiming to improve psychological care within neonatal settings.
Jacinta uses a range of therapeutic approaches. She is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and also in VIG (Video Interactive Guidance). Jacinta often draws upon Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Attachment Theory in her work.
Jacinta lives in North Oxfordshire with her family.
Jacinta is not currently taking on any more work for OCP due to the demanding nature of her NHS job. She is hoping to return to offering appointments at some point in the future and this message will disappear when that happens.
